A Spot of Regency Fashion

Ah, it's been far too long! I can't believe I've been such a bad blogger, not a good way to start off the new year no is it? January has just been flying by, I can't believe that the end of the month is almost here. I have no excuse for my lack of posting other than the fact I have just not been struck by any inspiration lately I suppose.
Though it would be more antique I suppose than vintage, one of my favorite eras of fashion in the world is the Regency era! I am a huge Jane Austen geek and adore the Regency fashion so much.

I have always thought it would amazing to have Regency style wedding dress (though at the moment being crazy cat lady is all I can see in my future ;) lol ). But anyways I just love it and though I'd share some lovely Regency fashion with you guys, hope you enjoy as much as I do. Some of the images are from movie productions of Jane Austen novels (the BBC versions always are the best ;) ) and others are just pictures of Regency fashion I liked.
What is your favorite era of fashion from earlier than the 1900s?

  8. No! You haven't been a bad blogger! I love blogs that post content when the writer feels inspired! Another blogger and I were talking about how quality is so much better than quantity! Life definitely gets in the way of blogging sometimes! :)

  9. Oh I love the Regency era, definitely my favorite prior to the 1900s probably because of my addiction to everything Jane Austen-related. Love love love Pride and Prejudice and Emma, and the dresses, bonnets, and jackets they wear are so exquisite; I even am thinking about making my own dress inspired by the Regency era.
