I'm Back...For Real :)

Hello lovely bloggers :)
I apologize once again for taking another not so brief hiatus. I really hadn't intend to go so long once again without posting. I can't believe that I let it get to this again. It hasn't always been that I don't have the time to blog as much as I would like, but sometimes I just don't get to it when I do have a chance.

But enough rambling, here I am!

Sorry for the gettyimage mark, but this picture was too cute not share.

This won't be a proper post, but there will be one up this week. I've just be left to my own vintage devices for over a month, so I am just itching to spread the vintage love once again ^_^ Since I've been gone so long I thought it would fun to ask you guys if there's anything your interested in particular in regards to me, my blog, etc.

So, that's all for now, I just thought I would share one amusing vintage find (hopefully I don't offend any one's sensibilities ;) ) hehe

I am endless fascinated and entertained by some of the WWII imagery out there. I'd never come across this one before until recently, and I felt it was worth sharing.

Hope you're all having a lovely week!!!

Gone Too Long...

Hey guys!!!

How many of my last posts have been saying what a bad blogger I am? I know, I'm becoming a broken record. This time I vow to be better and not be so bad about posting. More than posting though I feel so terrible for not visiting and commenting on all of your blogs the way I should have been :(

Anyway, I hope that all of you have been having a wonderful summer so far.

I am not always a fan of the heat, but I am just loving the summer fashion. I am on a hunt for new cute vintage dresses to add to my collection, though I haven't had much luck so far. Part of the problem is that I have quite a bit of trouble getting myself to open my wallet sometimes ;) I can be quite a cheap person, hehe.

I don't know if I even mentioned it but I adore Korean and Japanese fashion, it's all just so cute and pretty. I just love the fun flowy dresses and other cute styles out there for the summer that I have been seeing. I want it all. If am ever able to get to either country I will have a serious shopping spree...hopefully I won't spend so much that I don't have enough money to buy a ticket home. However, luckily some things can be bought through ebay and other websites :) Some of the items and looks I love, but I'm just thin enough to pull off *sigh* but I can still enjoy my internet "window shopping".

I'm Terrible!

So, every time I vow to be a better blogger, it seems that I get worse. I can't believe I let time get away like it did. I'm sorry that I haven't been posting or commenting on all your lovely blogs as much as would have liked in the past month or so.

Life has just been crazy lately, and not a all good stuff :(

But I don't want my first post in while to be a downer.

First of all I want to thank all you for your eyeliner suggestions back from my last post over a month ago. I have bought a couple and have loved what I've tried so far so thank you!

So, this really isn't going to be a proper post, but I wanted to let you guys know I didn't fall off the face of the earth.

Away for So Long

Hello guys!

I can't believe how terribly, horribly long it's been since I last post. Life has just gotten a bit more hectic lately, and I was also feeling a terrible lack of inspiration on post ideas. I'm still trying to think of some clever new things to do.

I just let one week pass and then another and didn't post well now it's been nearly 2 months. I was also feeling a terrible lack of inspiration on post ideas. I'm still trying to think of some clever new things to do. (Perhaps some more outfit post...much greater chance of doing these if I lose the weight I've been trying to lose ;) ) And I apologize for not keeping up with my blog reading and commenting either, I tried to to whenever I could.
But I'm back :)
As I said, not sure what new things I want to do with my blog. However, for this post I wanted to do something on vintage makeup looks , as I've just been in the mood to play around with my look lately and buy new makeup, new colors, etc.

I suppose this going to be more a question for you all than any real tips, etc. (I am not always all that great at doing my own makeup anyway. I'm especially terrible with eyeliner.)

So, I've watched several videos and read advice on doing a 40s/50s ish look. I really love the way the eyes are done (and I can do eyeshadow and mascara fine), but as I said I'm terrible with eyeliner. I've tried pencil, gel w/ a brush, and liquid.

*What do type of eyeliner do you guys prefer, especially when you were a novice at the perfectly lined eye? Any favorite brands?

Longing for Spring

I don't know about you guys, but I would be very happy if I were to not see one more flake of snow for the rest of the winter. It has been a bad winter so far in the Midwest of the U.S. were I am, and right now I can only content myself with dreaming of spring. All the catalogs full of spring fashion have been coming out, and I have been longing for a spring shopping spree. Here are some of the pieces I would love to add to my wardrobe, though some of these things I can only dream of due to their price... It's still fun to look though.

Of course some of the items I'm drooling over are from Anthropologie ;) I adore all of these pieces, I love embellished t-shirts, and the peter pan color on the blouse. The cardigan with the lace is my very favorite, if I had better sewing skills I would try to replicate the blouse with a inexpensive cardigan and a bit of vintage lace.

{4. Carraroe Heels 5. Asparagus Consomme Cap}

I don't know if any of you ladies are fans of Fossil purses, watches, and belts, etc. but I certainly am and until the last couple of years I hadn't really appreciates their clothing as well but this year they have some truly gorgeous items.

{6. Fossil Harlow Dress}

{7. Aimee Sweater 8. Amanda Quarter Strap Shoes}

{9. Ginger Dress 10. Klavon's Skirt, Modcloth.com}

I've become such a huge fan of the nice shorts with tights look...perhaps I'll actually wear shorts this spring and summer ;)

Hope you enjoyed some of this early spring style :)

A Spot of Regency Fashion

Ah, it's been far too long! I can't believe I've been such a bad blogger, not a good way to start off the new year no is it? January has just been flying by, I can't believe that the end of the month is almost here. I have no excuse for my lack of posting other than the fact I have just not been struck by any inspiration lately I suppose.
Though it would be more antique I suppose than vintage, one of my favorite eras of fashion in the world is the Regency era! I am a huge Jane Austen geek and adore the Regency fashion so much.

I have always thought it would amazing to have Regency style wedding dress (though at the moment being crazy cat lady is all I can see in my future ;) lol ). But anyways I just love it and though I'd share some lovely Regency fashion with you guys, hope you enjoy as much as I do. Some of the images are from movie productions of Jane Austen novels (the BBC versions always are the best ;) ) and others are just pictures of Regency fashion I liked.
What is your favorite era of fashion from earlier than the 1900s?

Anthropologie why must you tempt me?

I'm sure that many others will feature some of these items on their blog, but I most certainly couldn't resist sharing some of the newest Anthropologie items out. I just recieved a catalog the other day and if I was rich at the moment I would definitely have whipped out my credit card and ordered a ton!

Lucky for us vintage lovers, it seems that vintage is suddenly "in", so many brands are featuring vintage inspired items and Anthropologie has some gorgeous ones! Even the catalog pictures are fabulous and inspiring.
Here's a few of the many items that caught my eye :)

Isn't this dress to die for? They say it's 50's inspired, but especially with the hat that the model is wearing, it looks a bit more 20s/30s ish in my opinion, gorgeous either way though!

{Floating Forsythia Dress, Anthropologie}

I wish I could find a better picture of the dress by itself, though both the dress and the coat are divine. I just love the full, circle skirt!
