Isn't this coat just gorgeous! It has such a 40s feel to it I think. If it wasn't quite so pricey I would snap it up in a heartbeat!
Aren't there shoes too cute? I have a real weakness for t-strap heels, I just can't resist them, and this purple color is too fun.
And I haven't gotten a chance to take any nice pictures of it myself, but I can't wait any longer to show you my very first vintage dress! It's in amazing condition, and smells wonderful (no creepy musty smell), so I'm pretty excited. It's a 50's swing dress, and I think it's so cute.
Here's the picture of it from the Etsy listing. What do you think? I got it from Vintage Rose Clothing, which I highly recommend. She has absolutely lovely stuff listed. I would buy it all if I could.
Have a lovely weekend!!!

ReplyDeleteOh those shoes are simply divine and I Love the great 40's style coat .
I feel like I need to watch Kathryn Hephburn with her pet leopard Baby :)
Thank you for sharing this awesome post .
Have a fabulous weekend.
Happy Trails
Oh, congrats on your first vintage purchase. She's a beauty! I think Vintage Rose clothing is lovely (she was one of my first blog followers). I also think Anthropologie is divine (you've spied some fabulous finds).
ReplyDeleteHi, Thank you so much for staying over at the Attic and commenting, it's much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI just adore the coat and shoes, I don't think we can get Athropolgie in Australia. They have such great pieces :(
Lovely weekend to you too,
xxx
Your dress is beautiful. I know about Anthropologie. The funny thing about it is that I used to shop at the stores in Florida and the prices were actually lower...not cheap...but lower:)
ReplyDeleteThey are all divine and I would love to own any of them. It's hard to resist temptation, but sometimes my wallet makes me...sigh!

ReplyDeleteYes, Anthro is amazing. Those shoes are to die. I have not received my catalogue yet- I bet my husband hid it so I would not spend hours pouring over each page, squeeling with glee!
ReplyDeleteThanks doll,

Terry - Thanks for the lovely comment! Aren't these items divine? And I think a Katherine Hepburn movie is always a good call ;)
ReplyDeleteLandGirlontheHomeFront - Thank you! I'm still quite excited about my first vintage dress and you're right Vintage Rose clothing is so lovely, as is Anthropologie.
Dustjacket Attic - Well that is a terrible shame that you can't get Anthropologie in Australia! Think of it as a blessing for your wallet though ;)
Kelley Anne - Thank you so much, glad you like my lovely new dress ;) That's funny that Anthropologie was less pricey in FL, I wonder why?
Karyn - My wallet makes me resist temptation as well!!
40sfemme - Yes, Anthropologie is quite fab!
TheGlamorousHousewife - Haha, I think it might be highly possible that your husband would be tempted to hide the catalogue from you. This one has lots to squeel over for sure!
ReplyDeleteLaila - Thanks so much for your kind comments as well, I'm glad that you enjoy my blog :)
Maggi - Those shoes are a must have aren't they? And I too wanted to cry over my first vintage dress. It's so lovely and it's so amazing to be holding and wearing a piece of the past I think.
Aya - Thank you so much! I think my new dress is quite lovely too ;)
Kristy - Thanks for your comment. Those shoes are great aren't they?
Many happy congrats on your gorgeous pink dress!
ReplyDeleteI adore that coat, vintage looking modern day coats are rather hard to find, but that one would be simply perfect for at least three seasons of the year (maybe even year-round if you lived in a warmer climate).
Wishing you a splendid Sunday!
♥ Jessica
Thanks Jessica :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still very excited about my lovely "new" dress.
And isn't that coat great? It is quite hard to find new coats with a vintage flair, if I could afford it I would definitely grab this one, I would get a lot of use out of it for sure!
